Sand and rubber infills
for artificial turf
Performance infills for sports fields
Performance infills are materials used to optimize the performance, safety, and durability of artificial turf fields.
Each type of infill offers specific characteristics in terms of elasticity, shock absorption, weather resistance, and visual impact.
SBR BLACK
Performance rubber infill commonly used in artificial turf sports fields, particularly in football and rugby pitches.
It is made of recycled rubber granules, primarily derived from end-of-life tires (ELTs). This material provides excellent shock absorption and good ball rebound, helping to reduce the risk of injuries for athletes. Additionally, black SBR is valued for its high durability and resistance to weathering.
Its dark color, however, can contribute to increased surface temperatures on very sunny days.
SBR GREEN
Green SBR is an aesthetic evolution of traditional black SBR, achieved through a coloring process that gives the granules a more natural and visually appealing look.
This type of infill is especially suitable for multisport fields and areas where appearance plays a key role.
While maintaining the same technical properties as black SBR in terms of shock absorption and resilience, green SBR infill offers improved visual impact, blending more naturally with the color of artificial grass.
Like black SBR, it may contribute to surface heating under particularly hot weather conditions.
SBR BROWN
Brown SBR is an aesthetically enhanced alternative to traditional black SBR, offering a clay-like appearance.
This makes it particularly suitable for sports applications where a more natural visual effect is desired, such as football, rugby, or multisport fields.
Made from colored recycled rubber, brown SBR infill maintains similar properties to other SBR infills, including high wear resistance, effective shock absorption, and excellent elasticity.
As a colored product, it may require additional maintenance to preserve its original appearance over time.
GEO S
GEO S infill sand is a high-performance natural infill made from plant fibers and selected organic materials, designed to ensure excellent resilience and high shock absorption capacity.
This type of infill is particularly appreciated for its low environmental impact and strong technical performance.
In addition, being a natural product, it helps maintain cooler surface temperatures compared to traditional synthetic infills.
However, GEO S may require more attentive maintenance to prevent degradation over time and preserve its performance.
OLIVE
OLIVE infill sand is made from granules obtained by grinding olive pits.
This organic material offers resilience and shock absorption properties comparable to traditional infills, with the added benefit of being completely natural and biodegradable.
OLIVE infill is also appreciated for its moisture retention capacity, which enhances playing comfort and helps reduce surface temperatures.
However, as a natural product, it may gradually degrade over time and require periodic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
EPDM
EPDM infill sand is a high-performance infill made of synthetic rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), known for its excellent resistance to UV rays, weathering, and wear.
This material is available in a wide range of colors, with green and black being the most common.
EPDM delivers consistent performance over time, even under harsh weather conditions, and is particularly suitable for high-level sports fields and indoor facilities.
Thanks to its synthetic nature, it offers greater durability than organic infills and requires less maintenance.
